CCAI’s Joyous Chinese Cultural Center is looking for a passionate, motivated, and fun-loving addition to join their team as Director’s Assistant!  Help create unique cultural experiences and develop curriculum for our amazing students and families!  This is a perfect position for any creative individuals who are passionate about cultural support and youth mentorship.

Wage Range: $12.50/hr – $14/hr

Company Information: The Joyous Chinese Cultural Center (JCCC) is a division of CCAI, an international adoption agency that has been working in the interest of abandoned Chinese children since 1992. More than 12,400 children have been placed through CCAI’s adoption programs and tens of thousands more have been reached through the Children’s Charity Fund. Located in Colorado, JCCC is the only school of its kind in the country ensuring that adopted Chinese children will have a link to their heritage — leading students, year-round in cultural experiences through literary, music, dance, and culinary arts.


  • B.A. in Education, Business, Chinese preferred
  • Understanding of Chinese culture
  • Familiarity with cross-cultural adoption issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organization, detail orientation, and multi-tasking skills
  • Positive and cheerful personality
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Ability to coordinate with parents, teachers, and youth
  • Love for children and personal commitment to adoption


  • Lead weekly field trips and cultural programs as needed
  • Assist with JCCC Newsletters and other written materials
  • Serve as JCCC Volunteer Coordinator
  • Coordinate program enrollment
  • Manage marketing opportunities
  • Manage JCCC Gift Shop sales and inventory
  • Assist with planning and implementation of special JCCC events as needed
  • Assist JCCC staff in building maintenance
  • Communicate efficiently and concisely with office staff

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to create new content for cultural lesson plans
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Proficiency in Windows Live Movie Maker or similar programs
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with grant writing
