Company Information: CCAI Adoption Services, a nonprofit organization, has been working in the interest of abandoned Chinese children since 1992, and has since expanded our mission to other parts of the world as well. More than 12,000 children have been placed through our adoption programs and tens of thousands more have been reached through the Children’s Charity Fund, providing food, clothing, medical care, education, training and foster care for those children still waiting in orphanages. Additionally, CCAI fosters a legacy of support throughout the adoption journey with post-adoption resources provided through Heritage Tours, Joyous Chinese Cultural Center, and Adopteen, creating an adoptee community that extends far beyond adoption.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organization skills with extreme attention to detail
  • An understanding of Chinese culture and basic experience with international travel
  • A personal belief in adoption and a love for children
  • Intermediate proficiency with Excel, databases, and networks

JOB DESCRIPTION

A Full time TRAVEL ASSISTANT assists adoptive families in arranging travel and accommodations in China for their adoption trip. Additionally, the Travel Assistant will assist adoptive families in completing immigration paperwork related to the adoption of their child(ren) from China. Communication will include telephone, email, fax, and face-to-face contact with families, as well as telephone and email communication with the US Consulate and team members in China.

Applicant must have a high level of detail-orientation, have excellent customer service skills, be a team player, be able to multi-task, and have an ability to utilize problem solving skills and creative thinking to achieve desired results. Applicant must be willing to make a minimum two year commitment to the agency. The salary range for this position is $28,000- $32,000 based on qualifications and experience. This position cannot be done remotely.

  • BA in Human Services or related field preferred
  • Comfortable working both individually and in a team environment

University of Nebraska Family Studies Department Pays CCAI a Visit

Last Thursday, a group of 30 undergraduate students from the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Family Studies Department paid CCAI Headquarters a visit!  The group (dressed in their best!) took a tour of CCAI and spent the afternoon learning about internship opportunities at CCAI as well as career opportunities in the field of adoption.  CCAI Director of Adoptions, Judy Winger, and CCAI’s Domestic Program Coordinator, Sheila King, hosted the fantastic group and provided more information about adoption than their hearts could handle in hopes that these students will consider a career in adoption in the future!

Accounting Assistant – Centennial, CO

CCAI, a not for profit 501(C) (3) International Adoption Agency, is seeking an Accounting Assistant with a positive professional attitude, very detail oriented and great customer service skills.

The ideal candidate will either possess or be working toward an Associate Degree in accounting or with some experience and working knowledge of accrual accounting. Must have a strong aptitude for accuracy and details along with familiarity of accounting terminology and procedures. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010 products with intermediate Excel skills desired. Experience with Access and Accounting software a plus.

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for coding and processing accounts payable and various check requests as needed, making electronic deposits, posting cash receipts to accounting system, processing credit card payments, ACH and wire transaction, along with assisting families in the adoption process by tracking grants and applying payments, along with other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

This is a full-time salaried position with Medical, Dental and matching 401K benefits.

Accounting Assistant (full or part time)   CCAI is seeking an Accounting Assistant who is  energetic, responsible, self- starter, with a positive and professional attitude and presence.  This individual needs to be detail oriented, organized, and have great people skills.

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for processing accounts payable, creating deposits, credit card processing, data entry and cash applications, donation receipts and other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate Degree and/or 2 years of experience, working knowledge of accounting, a strong aptitude for accuracy and details, and familiarity with accounting terminology and procedures, working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010 products.  Experience with Access and Fund EZ software a plus.

Volunteer Counselor or Social Worker Needed

For the 2013 Adoptees Giving Back – Orphan Service Trip in June 2013!

30 China adoptees, 15 – 20 years old, will embark on an amazing 12-day heritage and service trip to China June 16-28, 2013. The adoptees will spend some of their time touring the famous cultural sites, but most of their time will be dedicated to helping at orphanages.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and passionate volunteer counselor, psychologist, or social worker to be an emotional support during the trip. The volunteer will need to pay for her or his own expenses of travel and room and board, which will be about $2000 -$2500. CCAI will provide an in-kind donation certificate for your tax purposes.
