Our families in Texas are hosting a Family Reunion at the end of summer and we are so excited!! Families are invited to meet at Pecan Bottoms Pavilion in Cameron Park (just outside the zoo) starting at 9:00 AM. There is a playground and splash pad near the pavilion and we will have games and lunch, and then go to the zoo as a group!
We cannot wait to meet all our Texas CCAI families!

The wait is finally over! After more than 16 hours of exhausting flights, 23 precious children from four orphanages have finally united with their anxious and exciting host families.
For all of the kids, this was their first flight and they hand led it like pros! The children will spend three weeks with their host families and will have the best summer vacation of their lives!
The goal of Orphan Hosting is to share love with so-called “hard-to-place” older orphans so that they will also have the opportunity to experience family love and have incredible adventures. For more information on how you can host an orphan in the summer or winter, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Today, a group of 230 adopted children and their parents received a warm welcome at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, China’s Capitol Hill. Chinese Minister of Civil Affairs Mr. Li Liguo, CCCWA Director General Zhang Shifeng, as well as a host of other Chinese high-level officials were excited to visit with the returning children and their families. “I am overjoyed to see the happy smiles on your faces,” the Minister told the children. “I truly want to thank all of you adoptive families. Your boundless love has given new life to these wonderful children.”
This event is a part of the Heritage Tour organized by the CCCWA and CCAI. Since 2011, CCAI has organized over 1000 families and their children to travel on this incredible tour that allows adoptees to experience the best of Chinese culture, as well as visit their orphanages and caretakers. What an awesome sight!
What is better than spending a week serving and loving orphans in China? That is exactly what is going on in Zhengzhou Orphanage this week, where a team of seven CCAI Heart Connection volunteers (adults and children) are spending their week with a group of orphans with special needs!
Heart Connection is a new ministry opportunity with the aim of connecting hard-to-place orphans with caring families to help advocate for their adoption. We are thrilled for this first group of volunteers and cannot wait to witness the beautiful journeys that Heart Connection will surely bring to the children and volunteers alike!
