#TooCuteTuesday: Spread Holiday Cheer For Wen!

Wen

Happy Too Cute Tuesday CCAI Families! While you celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with family and friends, please help us advocate for Wen!

Wen is a little energetic angel! The little heartbreaker is chubby and loves to smile, showing off his little dimples. His physical development is normal for his age, and he can walk freely and eat on his own. Wen enjoys playing with other children and has a favorite nanny.

Wen is Special Focus, which means he may be matched to a family either with or without a dossier in China and may also be accepted along with another child! He is diagnosed with a missing corpus callosum.

Please email waitingchild@ccaifamily.org for more information or call 303-850-9998.

Want to be a part of Wen’s story? Let’s ADVOCATE for him! Share his photo and spread the word! We are eager to place him!

#TooCuteTuesday: Be a Part of Ming’s Story!

Ming FBHappy Tuesday CCAI Families! Please help us advocate for Ming!

Ming is 1.5 years old. He loves to play with toys and is intrigued by sounds. Ming does this cute thing that if you place toys in front of him, he will stretch out his little hands and reach for them, all the while smiling. He loves to get hugs and laughs whenever you talk to him. It seems that Ming has a big personality!

Ming is LID Only, meaning he must be matched to a family with a dossier in China! He is diagnosed with congenital heart disease and developmental delays.

Colorado Gives Day 2014

From all of us at CCAI, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported CCAI and participated in Colorado Gives Day yesterday! With your passionate giving, we received an incredible $18,000+ in donations from Colorado Gives Day alone and we are so grateful!

What are your generous donations doing?

7 Ways Your Support Can Help Change a Life…

  1. Formula, Clothes, Diapers & Toys    Nutritious formula, seasonal clothes, and age-appropriate toys are basic needs that every orphan needs and deserves to survive and thrive.
  1. Orphan Sponsorship   For $50 a month, you can sponsor an orphan to receive higher-level attention and care.  As a sponsor, you’ll receive quarterly reports and pictures of your sponsored child or children.
  1. Nanny Training    Training nannies and equipping them with child-centered knowledge and tools are key to orphans’ daily well-being and development.  $100 will enable an orphanage nanny to attend a week-long training.
  1. Medical Assistance    95% of orphans suffer from medical conditions of different kinds. Basic pediatric medicines and equipment for orphanage clinics can save lives.
  1. Educational Support   Education helps many orphans live an independent life beyond the orphanage.  School bags, bicycles, school clothes, textbooks, and computers are needed to enable a school-age orphan to receive an education just like any other child in their community.
  1. Orphanage Leadership Development   The passion, ability and skill of an orphanage director can positively or negatively impact the lives of hundreds of orphans under his or her care.  For $300 you can sponsor an orphanage director to benefit from our annual Orphanage Leadership Development training.
  1. Lily Orphan Care Centers    We establish Lily Orphan Care Centers as orphan care and training centers to demonstrate and model the best orphan care possible – treating the children as we would our own.  Your donation can keep this child-centered model going strong so hundreds more lives will be touched.

With a little help from our friends, thousands of children’s lives will be changed for the better, forever!  Thank you. 🙂

#TooCuteTuesday: Time is Running Out for Shan!!!

Xie Yu Shan 2

Shan entered the orphanage at about 6 months of age. At his time of admission, he was able to do things other children his age could, such as following an object with his eyes, holding his head up while lying on the stomach, laugh aloud when teased and distinguish the caretaker’s sounds. When he was 1 year old, he could recognize familiar people, was very interested in objects that made sounds, could roll over, sit alone, and make sounds unconsciously. As he continued to grow up, he continued to develop at a normal rate, with the exception of his language skills. Shan became very self-sufficient and loved to play with others.
Shan is now 7 years old and can stand on one foot alone for 5 seconds, can do a standing long jump, can jump off the floor with both feet, can walk while holding a cup full of water, can use buttons, and can take care of his daily needs. He can’t speak, but can understand his nanny’s instructions or the words on the criticism and praise, and can express “yes” by making the sounds of “ah”, “en” and “heng”. He loves playing with his peers. He is a little introverted and sometimes a little obstinate and stubborn, but he is always ready to smile, and is fond of listening to music, jumping, playing sports and going down the slide. Just look at this little cutie! How could he not find a loving home? Help us by playing a part in bringing this kiddo home!

Xie Yu Shan 3

Shan is Special Focus, meaning he may be matched to a family either with or without a dossier in China and may also be adopted along with another child!  He has strabismus and developmental delays.

Please email waitingchild@ccaifamily.org for more information or call 303-850-9998.

PLEASE let’s advocate for this cute boy and help him find his forever family that will show him what it means to have a home!

Please help us spread the great news so more orphans will find their forever families!

#TooCuteTuesday: Please Share & Advocate for Rong!

Hu Qi Rong FBWe only have a few weeks left with this sweet one’s file! Please share and advocate for Rong! Let’s work together to find her a forever family!

Rong is a little ray of sunshine! She is a little shy and timid, but is very friendly to those she is familiar with. She likes to play with toys, especially rag dolls. Rong is 4 years old and underwent rehabilitation for her cerebral palsy and she can now walk on her own! She is steadily growing to taking care of herself and the nannies are proud of her progress.
We hope Rong finds her home soon!

Rong is Special Focus, meaning she may be matched to a family either with or without a dossier in China and may also be adopted along with another child!

What’s the greatest thing about Colorado Gives Day?  Well, there are a few greatest things…

  • The Colorado Gives Day incentive fund has increased 300 percent!  Community First Foundation and FirstBank are partnering to create a $1 Million Incentive Fund, one of the largest incentive funds in the country! The incentive fund increases the value of every donation proportionally.

Here’s how it works: If a nonprofit organization receives 10 percent of the total amount of money raised on Colorado Gives Day, that same nonprofit receives 10 percent of the $1 Million Incentive Fund!

The basic idea?  The more donations CCAI receives on Colorado Gives Day, the more chances we have of receiving even more money and our life-changing programs will thrive because of it!

  • ANYONE can donate on Colorado Gives Day, not just Colorado residents!

So, invite your friends, invite your family, invite that stranger you met at the grocery store…invite everyone!  With a little help from our friends, thousands of children’s lives will be changed for the better, forever!
