Charity Update: New Clothes for KaiFeng and ZhengZhou

Karen asked her church to hold a fundraiser for CCAI.  This month, she gathered and shipped enough clothing items to fill EIGHT boxes as a donation to KaiFeng Orphanage and also donated money to buy warm clothes for Zhengzhou orphanage!  More donated items from her church are on their way to more orphanages!

Karen did not adopt through CCAI, but, boy oh boy, are we thankful to have her as part of our CCAI family!

CCAI Accredited by Haiti Adoption Authority

IBESR, Haiti’s central authority on international adoption has accredited CCAI to be an  Organization Approved for Adoption (OAA)!

This is the first time in Haiti adoption history that the government has accredited international adoption agencies for the protection of their children.  As a leading Haiti adoption agency in the USA, we are grateful for the Haiti government’s efforts and will continue to cooperate with IBESR to bring healing, home and hope to more adoptable Haitian children.

Henan Delegation Visits Henan Children

In 2008, CCAI and Henan Province entered a charity partnership to promote the well-being of children of special needs living in the orphanages.  Four and half years later and after over $2.5 million invested in leadership development, nanny training, foster care expansion, facility improvement, medical support, and education assistance, thousands of orphans’ lives have been impacted for the better, and over 1,000 children with special needs have found loving homes through international adoption.

Yesterday, another official delegation from Henan came to Denver to visit adoptive families and their children and witnessed first hand the incredible new lives all the adopted “Henan children” have been given in their new and very loving homes with their forever families.  Throughout the years, several delegations from Henan province have come to Denver to personally thank the adoptive families for their love and support.

Our thanks go to Sarah and Bryan for opening their beautiful home to the delegation, to Moya with First Hugs and Emily with Henan Kids International for all that you do, and to all the wonderful families and children who came to the Henan Delegation Reception, welcoming the delegation!  It was so wonderful to catch up with all of you!

Charity Update: Warm Shoes for Cold Feet

One of our Wenzhou families, Scott and Epin, has been organizing fundraisers for Wenzhou orphanage for many years.  In November, 2012, Scott and Epin, along with four other Wenzhou families, donated a total of $1,650 to the Children Charity Fund for Wenzhou Orphanage’s older kids to buy new shoes, just in time for winter.

The kids were overjoyed about their warm, fashionable shoes.  Wenzhou Orphanage staff are grateful for the amazing long-term support of Scott and Epin!

Thank you SO very much for your generosity. 😀

Kids Helping Kids!

Here’s some fantastic, heart-warming news. 😀

Last month, the Kindergarten students at Hinkle Creek Elementary in Noblesville, Indiana got together and collected as many blankets and socks as they could for the little ones in China, some even using their own money to purchase them!

Last Friday night, CCAI received all of the socks and pillows they collected as a donation to CCAI’s Children Charity Fund!

How awesome is that? Check out the photos below!
